So you know how there’s that post saying how people should invent birth control for men? (Take bullets out of a gun, not put on a bullet proof best) Well here it is. If some of you had actually researched it for like, 5mins, you would’ve actually found it.

To put it simply, the whole procedure takes about 15mins and lasts 10 years with a 100% success rate.

After an anesthetic, there’s an injection of some sperm-killing gel (Vasal Gel) into the male vas deferens. If the guy wants it reversed, he can get another shot which does that.

So, spread the word or something, but here it is.

How this post hasn’t gone viral by now is fucking beyond me.

Men don’t want it. They don’t want anything fuckin’ around “down there”. That’s why they refuse to get vasectomies. I’ve been asking them about this shit for years. YEARS. They simply don’t want to deal with it. And as long as they don’t have to be pregnant & give birth, they could give less than a fuck about birth control. Seriously. But they will cry, bitch and moan about the burden of child support and “Baby Mamas”. I don’t care how accessible or simple birth control men is made, hormonal or surgical, they will not fuck with it. Instead of exercising their reproductive freedoms that exist with NO THREATS WHATSOEVER, they’d just rather not.

Not at all.

Safer and less invasive than tubal ligation. In office procedure vs. going to the hospital. Quicker recovery time than tubal ligation. Tubal ligation is NOT reversible. Vasectomies are also less expensive than tubal ligation.

Tell me again why the fellas ain’t gettin’ them? That shit sounds perfect to me.

My own partner says he’d refuse to use birth control if it came out for men. And he’s fairly pro-feminist. It’s this weird fear they have and I don’t even know what they’re afraid of. I do think its this idea of well I don’t have to carry the baby so why should I care.

I fucking know men that have vasectomies.  What the hell are you people talking about?  If you could, please, very pretty please, stop putting all men into the same category thanksthat’dbegreat.  Any new and more convenient methods are welcome, but to say that NO MAN would do it is just plain and simple bullshit, I’ve seen men IN REAL LIFE (not tumblr) that made the decision THEMSELVES to do it, so just stop. :\

Woah, Damien, you’re really, really missing the point of the post. It’s really not cool to completely dismiss such a huge social issue with an outburst of “I know men who have had vasectomies, not all men are the same”. That’s nice that you know some men that have taken the responsibility to have had a vasectomy, but the fact still remains that the grand majority of men out there don’t hesitate to put the responsibility of birth control solely on the shoulders of women, and further demonise them for it, as well as the birth control they are using - on top of trying to take it away from them.

Just… bear that in mind? No, not all men are the same, but the majority are pretty content to not take responsibility where stuff like this is concerned and simply pass it to someone else (meanwhile calling them a whore, slut, etc, take your pick). And RE: “throwing blankets to get everyone under them”, I do hope you realise that the exact same thing is done to women several times over. This is pretty benign in comparison to what gets lobbed against women every time they speak out on anything.
